The use of AI methods in eGovernment

Our country is one of those countries that invest a lot of effort in the introduction of AI-based technologies for municipal or even national security purposes, and in the research of their potential application. This ambition is essential in modern digital eGovernment.

Our main goal is to achieve a breakthrough in the digital language modelling of the Hungarian language, through which administration, digital, audio-video transcription, efficient translation into different languages, and the use of contactless services will be enabled by using chatboot and voicechat. Video image processing is also challenging, this area plays a key role in the identification of documents.

In addition to IdomSoft, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Pázmány Péter Catholic University and the Elte-Soft Kft. involved in the research are engaged in applied research on natural language processing (NLP), enabling the digitalisation of administration through transcription. In parallel, the annotation environment essential for processing the natural language has already been created.
