5G

5G-linked researches of InfoLab cover understanding of implemented protocols within mobile networks “New Radio (NR)” of the future. Furthermore, we are analysing the high level of data protection of 5G and technologies, possible procedures which provide its safe – free from information leakages and unauthorised access to information via NR – operation.

Our researches include 5G basis stations as well as related terminal equipment and safety issues of communication between these radio channels; furthermore vulnerabilities, detecting attack vectors, defence capabilities, elaborating recommendations.

After we involved external research partners and established a test network, we intend to focus on IoT technologies. It is anticipated, in the light of facts and currently ongoing trends, that an increasing number of public and private (business) sector will change its actions using cellular (5G) IoT-s. Regarding to the described research purpose, it is important to get to know how IoT terminal equipment work and their capabilities.
